Cambodian Traditional Healers and the Sak Yant Tradition

  • ChanTra is practitioner of traditional Cambodian sacred tattoos, which have been an integral part of Cambodia’s healing and spiritual tradition for over a thousand years. We had the pleasure of supporting ChanTra to preserve and record his tradition and created this website to showcase his work. Our director was also trained in this beautiful tradition by ChanTra and the teachers at Federation Khmer Sak Yant.

  • Federation Khmer Sak Yant are a federation of Sak Yant practitioners, students, teachers and masters dedicated to the practice and preservation of their unique Khmer spiritual and martial arts traditions. It is their mission to preserve and share their Khmer sprititual and cultural heritage with their community and the world. We created this website to showcase their work and to help them further their mission and preserve their tradition.

Oriental Medicine Resources

  • North American Journal of Oriental Medicine  (NAJOM) was founded for the promotion and development of the Japanese approaches to Oriental medicine in North America. NAJOM pursues this aim by highlighting the theories and practices of traditional Japanese medicine. This includes Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion, kampo (herbology), shiatsu, anma, and do-in, which emphasize the vital role of touch in healing.
